Shinavia holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She also earned a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and often integrates behavior modification techniques to support clients in achieving sustainable change. With a strong foundation in business administration and her role as COO of a healthcare organization serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Shinavia brings a multidimensional perspective to her clinical work, which is grounded in advocacy, leadership, and a deep understanding of systems of care.
Beyond the therapy space, Shinavia embraces self-care and community connection through food. Drawing on her culinary arts degree and experience as a chef, she continues to create meaningful gatherings centered around nourishing meals and shared stories—believing in the healing power of creativity, culture, and connection.
